Full Service Ecobuilding
“The high quality of construction is a given. Our budget was tight, but we wanted the house built to last, and ECO delivered.” –Kay & Steve Leppold
Quality construction takes skill, organization, and experience. Craftsmanship raises the bar still higher. Quality building requires all this plus keeping projects on schedule and on budget while maintaining good communication so clients remain in the driver’s seat. ECO is committed to quality building and customer satisfaction. These are our cornerstones of ecobuilding.
While quality construction requires craft and attention to detail, the focus on energy efficiency and high levels of insulation introduces complexity that has led to the field of building science. Builders now must be aware of vapor migration, air barrier details, thermal bridging and, especially in the Pacific Northwest, moisture management. Tremendous resources and expense go into modern construction. ECO believes it is part of its quality and environmental commitment to build houses to last.
Careful material selection is another overlap between quality construction and ecobuilding. A disconnect persists in conventional construction between abysmal indoor air quality, toxic materials and human health. Many conventional building supplies do not belong in homes, even with continuous ventilation systems. Many of these material decisions are left to builders.
ECO brings decades of commitment for both quality craftsmanship and ecobuilding to bear on every decision.
